Where to Register for Maternity Care

Registering at a maternity hospital is typically done at 14 weeks of pregnancy (first day of your last period). You can register at UPMD and Apolinář through their websites.

Our gynecological clinic recommends:

• FN Motol

• FN Bulovka

• FN Thomayerova

For maternity hospitals outside Prague, such as in Hořovice, Kladno, Mělník, and Benešov, no registration is required.

Examinations During Pregnancy

Routine check-ups are scheduled every 2 to 4 weeks throughout your pregnancy. Initial tests, including blood work for infectious diseases and first-trimester screening, are done at 10 weeks. Additional screenings, including the Trisomy test for Down syndrome, can be performed at 11 weeks. Later ultrasounds at 12-13 weeks, and additional tests at 24 weeks for gestational diabetes, are recommended. 4D and 3D ultrasounds are available during weeks 26-27.
